Working for a fairer, greener, and more prosperous future. Here’s how I am delivering on my promises to you.
Worthing West
I’ll work hard to represent you, for the investment, services, and opportunities we need to help our area thrive, and making sure your voice is heard at every level. That means standing up not only for Worthing’s residents, businesses, and the regeneration of our town centre and seafront, but also for our rural communities.
NHS & Health
I want to see an ambitious, accountable and transparent 10-year plan for our NHS which is community focussed and leaves no-one behind. I will therefore continue to lead on often overlooked issues like mental health, antimicrobial resistance and liver health, and argue for a preventative and proactive approach across locally, nationally and globally.
FAIRNESS & EQUALITY
I know from my work as a public health doctor, that inequalities such as in health, education and access to social care can affect every area of our daily lives. I will do everything I can to address these in all aspects of policy making to give everyone the opportunity to thrive.
Climate Crisis & Environment
Worthing West’s unique location between the sea and the Sussex Downs presents a range of environmental challenges, from preventing sewage pollution and protecting Sussex Bay to preserving green spaces like Goring Gap. I will always work and campaign in support our environment, promote green jobs, and back initiatives that move us towards a greener, more sustainable future.
Housing & Infrastructure
I will always push for more genuinely affordable housing, better protections for renters, and positive action to tackle the housing crisis. However, this must also be community-focussed and supported by the necessary infrastructure, with access to schools and health services as well as accessible public transport and active travel routes.
Safer Communities
I believe this can only be fully achieved by providing inclusive, safe spaces and opportunities for active engagement with our communities and by investing in our young people and other often marginalised groups.
