A national outbreak of salmonella food poisoning has been declared by the UK Health Security Agency.
207 cases have been reported so far from across the country, with one person having sadly died from the infection.
The source is suspected to be imported eggs and the advice is to cook eggs and other foods well at home and avoid eggs when eating out.
Salmonella is a bacterial infection with symptoms including diarrhoea, vomiting and fever. Most people recover after a few days but babies, older people and those with weakened immune systems are at greater risk.
If you have these symptoms, phone 111 or contact your GP.
